We’re fans of microdosing nature for three main reasons.
1) It’s Powerful Biologically. Even small amounts of nature exposure done consistently can help regulate our physiology (such as morning and evening sunlight exposure optimizing our circadian rhythms), reduce stress and improve focus.
2) It Helps Make Habit Change Easy. Let’s face it, we humans need to work on creating healthier relationships with our nature. In many behavior change models, one of the most powerful things we can do is to make our desired new behavior as small as possible. In short, a microdosing new habits. The reason this technique works is because it makes behavior change ridiculously easy.
3) It’s Accessible. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same level of access to nature and that sucks. Microdosing nature ensures that anyone can spend time in nature, practically anywhere at anytime without the need for huge amounts of time, money, or fancy gear.
